Baton Family Christmas Party

This weekend we had a Christmas party with Shane's extended family. After dinner, each family did a talent. This year was our family's turn to do the talent for Shane's mom's family. Shane sang a song from Stone Temple Pilots and his brother-in-law, Justin, played the guitar. They did such a good job. It was the first time Shane has ever sung in front of anyone. He did such a good job!

Bob & Sidney's family played a Christmas song with pipes they made that were exactly the right pitch. Dawson (the littlest one) was so excited about having Charlie see him play his one note, that he was totally focus on watching Charlie. When it was finally his turn he had to get a little nudge to remind him what to do. He was so excited when he got done!

Trevy was a good sport to let Charlie and Dawson push him around in this very girly stroller while we cleaned up.

Thanksgiving

Turkey Fryer: $40
Enough peanut oil to fill the turkey fryer: $40
Turkey: $20
The look on Grandma's face when she found out the turkey was getting started at noon (the same time we were supposed to be eating):
PRICELESS!
This year Shane decided to make an attempt at frying the turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner. So we bought the fryer, the turkey, and the peanut oil. As everything was getting set up we realized we didn't have enough peanut oil, so we had to run all over Tremonton trying to find more. Once that was taken care of and everything was ready to roll...we ran out of propane. So, it was back to the store. Dinner was set to start at noon; the turkey finally got some heat under it at, uh, noon. Everyone was a little nervous when Shane said it would only take an hour to cook, but sure enough he was right. And the turkey was SOOOOOOO good! Definitely a new tradition for our family.

Trick or Treat!

This year for Hallowen Terry wanted to be a mummy. We made his costume at home and it turned out so cool! It was fun to see people's reactions when they saw it. We took Charlie to EVERY store in Brigham, Ogden, and Riverdale, trying to find a costume he wanted. Needless to say, we left empty handed. When we got home he randomly decided he wanted to be a ghost...the easiest costume in the world!
On halloween we met up with our nephew Trevy (who was the cutest dragon ever!) and attempted the Boo-Fest. We only made it down one side of Main Street before we gave up. But add that candy to what we got at the trunk-or-treat and knocking on doors and the boys ended the night an a good note. They've still just barely made a dent in their candy bags.

Irrigation Days

Irrigation day is their favorite day, especially if the water comes in early.... Hence the pajamas!!!

Doesn't this look like fun!

Chuckles in his under-roos! No, it's not child porn, it's just typical Charlie!

Summer Camp Trip

We were able to go camping in Idaho with Ben, Sarah and Trevor in August and had such a fun time. We found a great spot that was completely surrounded by shade and away from the main road. The three boys had so much fun playing together and getting nice & dirty!

The last three pictures were from a waterfall we hiked to. You can see we were able to walk right up to the waterfalls. The boys had a lot of fun climbing around.

There were several different trails, so we were able to go on lots of rides!

This is our Charlie.

Halloween 2006

Here's a picture of our boys from last halloween. Terry had definately outgrown the idea of wearing a cute costume and moved on to cooler things. Charlie's getting close to catching on to the same idea, but last year he wanted to be 'Uncle Rog'.
